La Porte Expands Logistics Hub
with $244M Warehouse Deal

Stonepeak has expanded its industrial real estate holdings with the acquisition of six logistics properties near La Porte, Texas, for $244 million. The portfolio, totaling 2.3 million square feet, is strategically located less than eight miles from the Port of Houston. Starwood Capital was the seller in the transaction, according to Commercial Edge.

The properties are situated at 359 Old Underwood Road, 359 Pike Court, and multiple locations along Porter Road, including 10100, 10052, 10051, and 10025 Porter Road.

This acquisition aligns with Stonepeak’s focus on supply chain infrastructure, particularly assets anchored near essential transportation hubs. The Port of Houston, undergoing a $1.7 billion modernization and expansion over the next five years, plays a critical role in regional and national supply chains. Additionally, Houston’s extensive rail network, supported by Union Pacific, BNSF, and CPKC, bolsters the area’s logistical appeal.

Stonepeak’s recent investments underscore its commitment to leveraging key transportation infrastructure. Earlier this year, the firm acquired a 1.1 million square foot logistics portfolio in the Alliance submarket of Dallas-Fort Worth, further solidifying its presence in Texas' industrial real estate market.

Selling for $41,250 on Jan. 2, 2025 in Sarasota, Fl., this Firebird fetched a price that reflects its rarity and appeal, especially when compared to its original sticker price of $32,000. With just 1,600 units ever made, and its roots tied to Liberty, Texas, this Trans Am stands as a shining example of automotive history that continues to excite car lovers across generations.
