B) The plant lacks a woody stem
Friday’s Quiz - What unusual fact about bananas makes them technically classified as an herb?
Answer: Banana plants are technically classified as herbs because they lack a woody stem. Instead, their "trunk" is made of tightly packed leaf bases, which makes them a giant herbaceous plant rather than a tree. This classification surprises many, given the plant's tree-like appearance!
