What’s Next?
Starting Monday, January 6, construction crews will resume concrete panel repairs and pavement restoration. Temporary lane closures will be in place to allow the team to safely complete the work.
Thank you for your patience as they work to enhance North Main Street for a smoother and safer driving experience!

Answer in Friday’s newsletter!
Which rare type of cloud formation appears as wave-like patterns in the sky and was only officially classified in 2017? |

Monday’s answer
C) Gentoo Penguin
Monday’s Quiz - Which species of penguin is known for building nests out of pebbles and sometimes "stealing" them from neighboring nests?
Answer: Gentoo penguins build their nests by gathering pebbles, often going to great lengths to find the smoothest ones—and occasionally sneaking them from a neighbor’s stash. These carefully chosen stones help keep their eggs dry and off the cold ground. In a charming display of devotion, a male Gentoo will seek out the perfect pebble for his mate; if she accepts, it becomes the cornerstone of their future together, as these penguins typically pair for life.
Despite the occasional pebble theft, Gentoo penguins are remarkably friendly—among the most sociable of all penguin species. Aside from protecting their nests or eggs, they’re rarely aggressive, whether toward their own kind or other penguin species.
