Movie to Capture Baytown’s Purple Mustang Story; Museum Hosts Celebration Night
The iconic purple Mustang that once graced the front of Baytown Motors on N. Main St. is returning to the spotlight, this time on the big screen. Martha Barnett, the owner of the business, transformed the vibrant car into a flower planter years ago, creating a memorable landmark that drew local and national attention after she had to fight to keep it in place due to city ordinance conflicts. Now, filmmaker Jenny Waldo is capturing the story in a new movie.
To celebrate and raise community awareness for the film, a special event will be held at the Baytown Historical Museum on Tuesday, November 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. The evening promises to be a fun gathering, inviting residents to relive memories and learn more about the movie project. Admission is free, click here to reserve a spot
