Gulf Coast Crating Expansion Pushes
Baytown Logistics Hub to Full Capacity
Baytown is officially home to one of the regionâs biggest logistics success storiesâthe massive, 1 million-square-foot Portside Logistics Center has reached 100% occupancy, solidifying its role as a key industrial hub in Southeast Texas.
The game-changing moment came with the expansion of Gulf Coast Crating, Houstonâs fastest-growing specialty crating company. The company originally occupied over 432,000 square feet in Building 1 of the development after moving in last fall. Now, with the addition of another 135,285 square feet in Building 2, Gulf Coast Cratingâs total footprint at the Baytown site has grown to more than 567,000 square feet.
This milestone marks a major achievement for Stream Realty Partners and Principal Asset Management, the joint venture behind the project. The two-building, 1 million-square-foot developmentâlocated at 4838 and 4908 Borusan Road in Baytownâoffers prime access to major transportation routes including I-10, the Grand Parkway, Highways 225 and 146, and direct connectivity to Port Houstonâs Barbours Cut and Bayport container terminals.
âThis isnât just another lease dealâitâs a full-circle moment,â said Streamâs Executive Managing Director & Partner Justin Robinson. âFrom raw land to a fully leased logistics powerhouse, Portside Logistics Center stands as a testament to what strategic development and smart partnerships can achieve.â
For Baytown, the completion and full lease-up of Portside Logistics Center reinforces its growing reputation as a prime location for major industrial and logistics operations. With high-demand tenants like Gulf Coast Crating anchoring the development, Baytown continues to draw attention from top-tier companies looking for access, scale, and opportunity.
