Mont Belvieu Walk-A-Thon

Saturday, Oct. 5th

The Mont Belvieu Walk-A-Thon on October 5, 2024, from 8 am - 12 pm, will raise funds for the Baytown Pink Heals Fund, which supports individuals undergoing cancer treatment. Participants will walk or run at City Park Amphitheater, with every lap contributing to the cause. All donations are welcome.

The Story of Chocolate Milk: From Cacao to a Childhood Favorite

Though Sir Hans Sloane didn’t invent chocolate milk, the 17th-century Irish botanist is credited with bringing it to Europe. During his time in Jamaica, Sloane altered the local drink of cocoa and water by replacing the water with milk, creating a more appealing version. Chocolate milk, though with roots in the Americas, became popular in England thanks to Sloane, and it remains a beloved treat today.
